Mother Father Nature aka Forever Warm
This sculpture was started by nature itself, but would someone consider it a piece of art?
It’s piece of wood my husband had sawn for firewood and found humorous. What Peter didn’t see was that the back also resembled anatomy, male anatomy. I kept it around for years knowing that one day I would turn it into a sculpture. Having more studio time during the pandemic I decided to give it a “life” so to speak. It wasn’t altered in any significant way. It was “seen” and I wanted others to “see” it.
Is it now art? I am not the creator only the “seer”, who along with my husband “saw” something in a piece of firewood. It was destined to keep us warm…forever warm!
*I am grateful to be a witness of this time in history where there is more and more acceptance towards personal preferences. Let’s add love to our next “word” to help erode the hate that keeps our “world” from being the amazing home it should be. Peace can be had with compassion.
